Ogema is home to Saskatchewan's only full service tourist train operation, Southern Prairie Railway. Southern Prairie Railway kicked off in 2012 after the many volunteer hours to purchase and fully restore the 44 ton diesel engine, the 75-person passenger car as well as the baggage car and caboose. Tours run from May to October every Saturday and Sunday. The Heritage tours are about 1.5 hours, and Specialty tours vary in length. Specialty trains include: Horseback Train Robbery, Pitchfork Fondu, Stargazer, and the very popular All Day trip to end the season. Access to the Deep South Pioneer Museum is included in every ticket, a must see for visitors to the area. Charters are also available upon request.
